Vincent Chapel has a demon in him. What he doesn't have, is any kind of belief in the supernatural. As a result, when strange new abilities manifest, he has no way to explain or control them. Before long, Vincent stumbles into a crime in progress, leading to a violent encounter with a sex offender. This sets the police on his trail, and attracts the attention of a charismatic, but ambitious, businessman. With forces beyond his understanding converging on him, and his personal life falling apart, Vincent finds himself on the run.
