Together or separately, the two albums are among the strongest in the Danielson Famile's catalogue, with an emotional heft, energetic spirit, and experimental tendencies that makes them sound like nothing so much as the sunnier spiritual children of Neutral Milk Hotel's IN THE AEROPLANE OVER THE SEA.
