One year after winning Wizard White Beard's competition, Mongrel's still adjusting to his new role as king with the help-or rather hindrance-of his uncle, friends, and so-called allies. Tensions only get worse when Mongrel offers to host the one-year anniversary of world peace in Kingsbury. But rather than strengthen the bond between the six-er-seven kingdoms, the event only weakens it thanks to the arrival of some uninvited guests, a few magical mishaps, and some untimely news from Wizard White Beard. It's up to Wizard White Beard's apprentice, Margo, to . . . uh, do whatever it is that wizards do-that is, if her sister's plans for her don't interfere. Can Margo help Mongrel maintain the peace, or will the newly formed alliance fall apart?
