Heroes. Brave, righteous, pillars of society. They're the people we count on when in need. We expect them to uphold the laws and handle crises too dangerous for normal human beings. The Hero Society in charge of all activity around the world does its best to keep them in line.
The Immortals Project will break all of these expectations. Jaxx, a.k.a Velocity, just wants to visit his family in Florida and see his friends. with the anniversary of his dad's death coming up, everyone thinks he should finally visit his grave. They think it will give him closure; that it will be good for him. but what's the point when his mind is already made up? He knows the truth. His dad was a deadbeat who abandoned him and his pregnant mother.
But now that his mom is acting weird, and a villain offers the truth behind his dad's death? Jaxx isn't sure what to believe. "I became a hero to prove I was a better man than you'd ever be. A man who'd never abandon someone. I hated you since you left, and even more when you died...but now I'm not sure what to think about you."
