Stanislaw Andriuskevicius, a disgraced member of the noble Andruszkiewicz family of Poland, forced to change the spelling of his last name from Polish to Lithuanian for his part in the Radziwill Rebellion. Count Radziwill sided with the King of Sweden's invasion against the Polish Commonwealth with intentions of becoming the new king of Poland. When Stanislaw, along with several others of his family's forces, were defeated in the battle of Tykocin Castle, he was the only family member to survive. The loyalist family just could not kill another of their own family. So, they ordered him to be exiled from the family and the Commonwealth and change his name to Andriuskevicius. This 'Order of Exile' was posted in every church and cathedral in the Commonwealth. Everyone learned of his betrayal. Stanislaw had no prospects or friends. He offered his services as a commander to the Duke of Courland. This eventually led to him becoming captain of a Courland 'man of war' ship. War and circumstance find him and his crew without support in the Caribbean surrounded by enemies. Stanis and his crew become one of the craftiest pirates of the open sea. Lady Bea Yaw, a procuress of young ladies for gentlemen, becomes one of the deadliest female pirates along the Spanish Main. Stanis and Bea forge a partnership as pirates and lovers.
