Her village ransacked by death. Lyra sets forth on a journey to save her people. After losing her father at the age of twelve and the subsequent deaths of many more, Lyra leaves the nest of an overprotective mother, knowing that if she fails, more lives will be lost. Using her abilities, she goes to find a future her people may not have.
