The world that once existed is long gone.
What is left is a living nightmare. Given the choice between the known and unknown, I chose uncertainty, that's how bad it has gotten. I left safety and security, for fear and certain death. But there is no going back. Not for me. Not ever. Life is no longer about anything but surviving, and I fear I may fail. My life is saved by an unknown hero, and I am thrust into a world I had no idea existed and exposed to new relationships that change everything. The possibility of love is dangled in my face - something I had never dared to hope for in the past. The monsters are out there, waiting for us, but life must go on. It must, otherwise, what is the point. I know I was meant for more. Maybe, just maybe, I will figure it out, and fight for the future.
