Students aren't the only ones walking the brick streets of the University of Montevallo at night. According to local ghost lore, Montevallo is inhabited by numerous spirits. The specter of Edmund King walks by lantern light in search of gold he buried on campus. Condie Cunningham haunts Main Hall, the setting of her tragic death in 1908. This collection, compiled by the students of HNRS 308: "The Haunted South," features these and other tales of Montevallo's most fabled ghosts.
