The year is 2050 on Earth and global warming is accelerating due to positive feedback from burning fossil fuels. The Paris Agreement and the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) both collapsed in 2040. The Nation state economies are collapsing around the world causing famine and war. Things look extremely bad, but unbeknown to almost everyone, there is a ray of hope on the horizon in the form of a small team of physicists working in secret at the NATO missile firing installation on the island of Crete near the city of Chania. These physicists have discovered a way to reverse the second law of thermodynamics and make entropy decrease here on Earth, which just might save human civilization.
