I did not let my past define me. I knew that the mistakes I made were lessons and not life sentences. I had longed for better things in my life, the happy thing. And so, I prepared a vision of the future that I wanted to see and let it affect my "now."
Strengthened and driven by the mistakes of the past and the lessons present in the moment, I held on to the sliver of hope of a better future, the light I could see at the end of the tunnel. The wait was worth it; it always has been.
