Albert is a young boy who stumbles upon a lost dog. When he asks his mom and dad if he could keep it, they tell him he must first try to find the dog's owner. If no one claims the dog, then he can keep it. After Albert puts up flyers around town, the owners come forward to claim their dog. But now Albert has another problem - he seems to have lost the dog!
