Inheriting his Great Uncle Quentin's unconventional law firm in Missouri Adam Martin finds himself defending the rights of a succubus, zombies, a semi-senile seer, mermaids, a dryad, and gorgons. Soon he is writing contracts for werewolves, consulting with ghosts, and protecting unfairly accused fire starters. While this is going on he is trying to stand up to his six foot tall 'Cherokee' law secretary, and deal with his staid, disapproving family of conservative lawyers led by the formidable 'hang 'em high' Judge Jeremiah Martin. Yet while struggling to save his clients and his law practice, Adam still has time to romance some very intriguing and unusual females.
